Description This movie shows the collection of a chlorophyll sample. Chlorophyll samples are taken to check whether there is phytoplankton (microscopic plants that live in the oceans and seas) present. This is important to know, as phytoplankton blooms can have a serious impact on the number of meiofauna organisms that are present in the sandy bottom.
These images were taken during the sampling campaign of the MANUELA rainfall experiment, at the beach of De Panne (Belgium) in March 2007.Author Vandepitte, LeenWMV file - 18.78 MB - 640 x 480 pixelsadded on 2007-06-29574 views
