Diagnosis Low conical test, early chambers trochospirally arranged, later in annular series around an open umbilicus, umbilical portions of chambers commonly broken away, sutures obscured on spiral side by secondary thickening, radial and depressed on the umbilical side, periphery rounded; wall calcareous, coarsely perforate, lamellar, thickened on the spiral side, obscuring sutures and chambers but leaving some pores open; aperture at the open umbilical end of the chambers.
