Sawyer, R.T. (1986). Leech biology and behaviour. Vol. II. Feeding biology, ecology, and systematics. Clarendon Press. 375 p. page(s): 663; note: Sawyer adopted the spelling pinnara but this is wrong as pinnarum is a genitive noun and does not change with genus change. [details]

Additional information congenitor to Platybdella anarrhichae [details]
Spelling Sawyer (1986: 663) changed the spelling to P. pinnara as if the original pinnarum was an gender variable suffix adjective. However, 'pinnarum' is obviously a noun plural genitive in apposition (meaning 'of fins'), thus is unchanging. [details]
