Terebellids collected during the Galathea from deep water are described including three new species, Terebellides jorgeni (F. Trichobranchidae), Lanice amphelisso and Pista torquata (F. Terebellidae). Terebellides jorgeni is characterized by dorsally elevated margins on segments 5-9; Lanice amphelisso is distinguished from all other species of Lanice by posterior thoracic uncini being arranged in a narrow elongate loop. Pista torquata has two pairs of plume shaped branchiae with filaments arising in discrete tiers and thoracic uncini only having shafts anteriorly and by the development and arrangement of lateral lobes.
