Ecology Both Joania cordata and Argyrotheca cuneata occurred abundantly in the rhizome layer of Seagrass Posidonia oceanica, in seagrass meadows off Crete, Mediterranean, from 5-20 m depth. [details]
Stratigraphy This living species is known from Cenozoic fossils back as far as the upper-Oligocene and through the Miocene. [details]
