Nomenclature Luther (1955: p. 284) motivates against the name C. marginata for this species (as was used by Hyman, 1955: p. 14) because: 1) the synonymy is not entirely certain ("bloss vermutete Synonym") and 2) the name C. pinguis was commonly used. Since Luther (1955), the species has always been referred to as C. pinguis, and we will follow Luther's view. [details]
Taxonomic remark C. truncata mentioned by Kepner & Gilbert (1931), Ruebush (1938) and Ferguson et al. (1939) actually refers to this species (see Luther, 1955: p. 284) [details]
