Part 15. The polychaetes of the subtropical-tropical and tropical east coast of Australia between Lake Macquarie (New South Wales) in the south and Gladstone (Queensland) in the north. — The taxonomic research of the polychaetes of Australia continues with material collected at the northern part of New South Wales and the southern part of Queensland between Lake Macquarie and Gladstone. The material was collected from January 15 to 22 in 1976. 110 species were found; 96 of them were already known to science. 85 of the known species were already found by the author farther south and west at the coasts between Derby (W. A.) and Batemans Bay (N. S. W.): Parts 2, 4, 6, 8. One genus (Parahaplosyllis) and 10 species (Parahaplosyllis brevicirra, Typosyllis (Langerhansia) longisetosa, Eusyllis dentata, Pionosyllis yambaensis, Exogone brevifalcigera, Procerastea cirrata, P. simpliseta, Nereis (Nereis) brisbanensis, Aricidea (Allia) australiensis, Polycirrus pumilus) are new and will be described. 4 species could not be determined to species level because of incompleteness. 13 species of the already known species are new to New South Wales and 22 species new to Queensland.
