Synoptic description of site:

Benthic monitoring site within the Nephrops fishing grounds

 

Habitat description:

The benthos is typical of that of offshore muddy sediments in a wide area of the coastal central and northern North Sea. It is also within a Nephrops fishing ground.

Facilities:

The site is monitored by the Dove Marine Laboratory, Department of Marine Sciecnes and Coastal Management, University of Newcastle upon Tyne, whose facilities, including the research vessel Bernicia are available.1971
