Etymology The specific epithet longipapillata derives from the Latin word longus, meaning 'long' or 'prolonged', and the Latin word papillata, meaning 'having papillae', and refers to the long, regularly ranged dorsal papillae in the middle and posterior segments. [details]
Habitat Amongst algae on rocks, sometimes mixed with sand, in shallow water. [details]
