Revets (2001, p. 65): "Tappan (1962) included Brotzen (1942) in the synonymy list of what she deemed to be G. ammonoides from the Alaskan Albian, without however discussing Brotzen's analysis. The specimens from Alaska (USNM 6750 and 479262) are heterogenous and neither of the two groups into which these can be split conform to B. ammonoides sensu Reuss. The larger planoconvex specimens (Tappan's pl. 56, fig. 8) with 13 or more chambers in the final whorl seem closer to A. Henbesti Plummer, 1936 (=A. semicomplanata Cushman, 1938). The smaller specimens (Tappan's pl. 56, fig. 9) belong to another taxon as well, possibly of Berthelina affinities."
