Taxonomic remark Amin (2002) arranged Neoechinorhynchus in two subgenera, which were diff erentiated primarily on features of the eggs. N. agilis was assigned to the subgenus Hebesoma, based on data by Yamaguti, 1935. Th e present study clearly shown that this species has eggs with concentric shells, while the polar prolongations of the fertilization membrane are absent. Therefore, it should be transferred to the subgenus Neoechinorhynchus as N. (N.) agilis. [details]Unreviewed
