Stratigraphy Platidia anomioides, while still extant, is known from Cenozoic fossils spanning the late-Eocene and through the Miocene. [details]Unreviewed
Authority The first valid introduction of the name Platidia anomioides (Philippi & Scacchi, in Philippi) is not Philippi (1844).
According to Crocetta et al. (2015), some name was previously introduced by Philippi in an unwell-known brief paper (Philippi, R.A. 1840 Lettera del Sig. Rodolfo A. Philippi da Berlino Professore di Zoologia alla Scuola Politecnica di Cassel al Dott. di medicina Andrea Aradas da Cat. Giornale del Gabinetto Letterario dell’Accademia Gioenia, Catania, 5 (5): 67-70 – June-July 1840). “Terebratula anomioides Phil. et Scacc.” (sic in Philippi 1840) was already described in that paper.
