Etymology Author: "From 'palpus' (Latin: palp), and Iphitime, nominal genus of the family, making reference to the peculiar prostomial palps." Orensanz had placed his new genus in Iphitimidae, but this family is no longer recognised [details]
Taxonomy Was under Iphitimidae. Palpiphitime is best treated as a species group within Ophyrotrocha according to Wiklund et al (2012:257) [details]
