Diagnosis Original diagnosis by Savigny (1822: 46, footnote): "8.º Nereis flava. Oth. Fabr. loc. cit. n.º 282. Paroît avoir une trompe simple (minime armata, dit Fabricius); quatre antennes courtes; quatre cirres ou plutôt deux paires de cirres tentaculaires également courts; une rame pour chaque pied; les cirres supérieures comprimés en lame oblongue et obtuse, les cirres inférieures très-courtes; deux styles; point de branchies distinctes des cirres. Sixième genre à établir dans le voisinage des deux précédents! Eteone." [details]
