Spelling Söderström published the name as Laonice 'appellöfi' in a German text. In modern usage the diacritic is mandatorily deleted and spelling changes to L. appelloefi (ICZN Art 32.5.2, a rule applying since the 1961 code). However, Meißner et al. 2014 reintroduce 'appellöfi'. [details]
