Description Length: 65-78 cm (including tail streamers). Plumage: pale morph above dark brown; cap blackish; below yellowish white, darkly barred on sides and flanks with mottled or barred dark breastband; sides of neck and collar behind neck yellow when breeding; dark morph above and below uniform dark brown with darker cap; face dull yellowish; central rectrices rounded and twisted at tip. Immature barred above and below without central long central rectrices. Bare parts: iris dark brown; bill dark brown or grey with a black tip, long with a strong hook; feet and legs black, bluish above. Habitat: open ocean.
