An obtuse keel runs from the umbo to the posteroventral end. Umbos swollen, quite separate, separated from the hing line by a triangular ligamental area covered by a brown layer of the ligament. Exterior with very fine, granulose radial ribs and clear growth stages. Colour white, covered with a yellowish periostracum which forms a few scattered hairs in the vicinity of the ventral edge.
