Classification As they add further subfamilies, Gonzalez et al (2018: 245) implemented Sigalioninae, the nominal Sigalionidae subfamily, "as a paraphyletic assemblage of genera until we get more molecular and morphological data. Additionally, groups within this clade may be removed in later analyses (i.e. Pholoides)." They included genera Ehlersileanira, Euthalanessa, Fimbriosthenelais, Horstileanira, Labioleanira, Labiosthenolepis, Leanira, Mustaquimsthenelais, Neoleanira, Pholoides, Sigalion, Sthenelais, Sthenolepis and Willeysthenelais [details]
