Siriella armata was found in a sample collected near Sinop town by S.A. Zernov in August - September, 1912. This is the first finding of this species in the Black Sea. A short description of the population of S. armata from the Black Sea and differential diagnosises of Siriella species occurring in the Black Sea are presented
