Etymology The specific epithet abyssicola means 'deep sea inhabitant', being composed by the Latin noun of Greek origin abyssus, meaning 'abyss' or 'deep sea', and the Latin suffix -cola, meaning 'inhabitant', and refers to the habitat of the species, at deep sea muddy grounds. [details]
