Validity Both names: Plesiopenaeus edwardsianus (Johnson, 1868) & Aristaeopsis edwardsiana (Johnson, 1868) are used. Taxonomists tend to use A. edwardsiana, but ecologists and especially fishery biologists tend to use P. edwardsianus.
In as far as any name can be currently valid, I would say A. edwardsiana is. [details]
