Authority Lamarck (1818) clearly took the species name from the Savigny MS, not published until 1822, as he cites the MS, but his brief description in both Latin and French bears little relation to the more comprehensive description of Savigny. For this reason we cannot say the authority is 'Savigny in Lamarck'. Lamarck used the genus spelling 'Euphrosine' instead of Savigny's 'Euphrosyne' [details]
