Distribution This is a poorly described species in need of revision, known from isolated localities in the Celtic,
Ligurian (probable larvae) and Black Seas. Because of the unclear diagnosis, it is hard to assess the
distribution of this species, which is important because it is the type species for the genus. This species may be
closely related to H. greveni, which was described from the same region, however, this statement needs
verification. [details]
