GEBCO: discoverer and year of discovery (en): Discoverer: Japanese research vessel "Hakuho-maru". Year of discovery: 2007. History: Named from the Japanese Research Vessel "Hakuho", which firstly conducted perfect bathymetric survey of the mud volcano.    
Additional information (en): This feature is a conical shaped knoll from a topographic point of view. It is one of the largest mud volcanoes in the Mediterranean Sea. Minimum depth (m): 2120. Maximum depth (m): 2270. Total relief (m): 150.
