Abstract
    This report presents the workshop conclusions concerning important differences among tropical seas in terms of ecological processes in coastal marine ecosystems, and the corresponding implications for resource management guidelines. The result from the presentation and discussion of nine review papers and three days of field surveys during the workshop. The report includes the review papers as well as four recommendations for follow-up.
