Dr. Johan van de Koppel, is senior scientist at the KNAW, and has a large number of publications in international peer reviewed scientific journals (h-index 14). He is trained as a theoretical ecologists and has specialised in using (conceptual) models for understanding landscape development with special attention for pattern formation.
