Abstract
The framework directive water imposes regular biomonitoring of the surface waters. The Institute of Forrestry and Game Management is responsible for the implementation and execution of directive and has assigned the biomonitoring of estuarine fish to the laboratory. The aims of this project are:
1) continous monitoring of fish in het lower Zeeschelde at a fixed sampling station (1 fyke net at Zandvliet);
2) annual monitoring of 4 sampling stations in the estuary.
