Abstract
This study is the sixth component of the ‘Research on the environmental effects of the SIGMA plan: Effects of dredgings and harbour expansion on the environment’
This study concerns the estimation of the abundance of zooplankton. As vital link between primary production and the higher level within the food chain, zooplankton has been subdivided in micro-zooplankton and meso-zooplankton, an essential group which must be monitored and incorporated in the ecological modeling. Information concerning the fresh water and the brackish water communities are required to calibrate the modeling process.
