Abstract
Imis (Integrated Marine Information System), the centralized information system of the Flanders Marine Institute (Vliz), provides information on all topics relevant to marine sciences in Flanders. The different metadata sets (on persons, institutes, publications, projects, events and raw data) are combined in a fully integrated knowledge map, visualising all logic relationships between the separate data. Imis enables searches through these logic links, leading the user to a complete overview of the chosen marine topic.
