Abstract
    The ScheldeMonitor is an online Flemish-Dutch information system that contains information on the research and the monitoring of the Scheldt estuary. This document describes the basic principles that were followed during the first phase of development of the ScheldeMonitor. Futhermore some points of view towards the future are given. This document will serve as guideline for the further realisation of the ScheldeMonitor 2008.
