Comparison of Coelopleurus species
Description Left: Coelopleurus exquisitus, middle: Coelopleurus maculatus, right: Coelopleurus maillardi. C. maillardi and C. maculatus show much variation in colour whereas in C. exquisitus virtually no variation occurs. The peristome of C. exquisitus is distinctly larger than in the other species.
