Chthamalus stellatus
Description Photographed on 13/04/2017, 13.37, at Wembury Beach, Devon as part of a "Capturing our Coast" or "CoCoast" survey.  Location 50.3155  -4.0835,  mid shore.  The substrate was bed rock and the surface was flat.  The second photograph is an enlargement of the first showing the C.stellatus barnacles identified with a red dot.  Others in the photograph are C.montagui.  The quadrat frame is 30mm square.  Wembury is quite an exposed rocky beach and the surrounding coastline form a Marine Conservation Area (MCA) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
