Diagnosis Test globular to ovate in form, circular in section, early chambers added in five planes somewhat more than 144 ¡ apart, later decreasing to only three planes, strongly overlapping, sutures oblique, flush to slightly depressed; wall calcareous, translucent, perforate, radial, surface smooth or rarely spinose to striate; aperture terminal, radiate, or may be obscured by a fistulose growth with radiating tubular projections that end in small rounded openings.
