San Martín [details]
From editor or global species database
Taxonomy San Martín (1984: 78) considered that Amblyosyllis finmarchica (Malmgren, 1867) was a nomen dubium. However, the species was later recognized as valid by Helgason et al. (1990: 206-207, fig. 2), based on material from Iceland. [details]From regional or thematic species database
Validity Among Amblyosyllis, only A. formosa and A. madeirensis are clearly valid, all the other species (apart for A. rhombeata Grube, 1857) are probably synonyms of these two. [details]Unreviewed
Distribution Labrador to Maine, including Cobscook Bay; North Japan Sea; Finland [details]
Habitat Found from the intertidal zone to 55 m depth underneath rocks and boulder. [details]
Taxonomy Subfamily: Eusyllinae, according to Trott (2004). [details]
