![]() Description
Description of biological samples collected during deep-sea campaigns operated by the French oceanographic fleet since 2011. These data are acquired by underwater devices during the campaigns and then stored by Ifremer's CNDO (Centre National de Donnees Oceanographiques) Sismer. These data are mainly located in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and around mainland France. moreThe Biocean database was designed to gather the extremely large volume of data collected from different deep-sea ecosystem studies conducted by Ifremer's department "Environnement Profond" and aims at facilitating ecosystem studies in the deep sea. It represents an important new resource for deep-sea ecologists and will have wide applications in biogeography, and biodiversity studies. Lineage
