Abstract
This study is the second component of the ‘Research on the environmental effects of the SIGMA plan: Effects of dredgings and harbour expansion on the environment’
This component studies the carbon cycle in the Flemish part of the Scheldt-estuary. The water quality in the Sea Scheldt is to a great extent mortgaged by the high carbon discharge. The processing of the C input, and the interactions with sediment requires a good monitoring of the carbon parameters
