Abstract
This article presents a list of Bryozoa collected during a fieldtrip to Northumberland in April 2000. Bryozoa were mainly collected from Laminaria holdfasts, craypots, from stones on the shore and from the strandline. 46 species were recognised, mainly Cyclostomatida and Cheilostomatida. The present collection is compared with the list compiled by Eggleston ( 1975). Eucratea loricata, mentioned by Eggleston ( 1975) as "common" has not been found, while Eurystrotos compacta, Bicellariella ciliata and Cribrilina punctata, not listed by Eggleston (1975), were. The species Cribrilina annulata, Smittina landsborovii and Omalosecosa ramulosa, listed by Eggleston ( 1975) as "rare", and Crisia aculeata. Echarella variolosa and Porella concinna for which Eggleston ( 1975) could not mentions any recent record, were found again.
