Abstract
The SOCAT Equatorial Pacific, North Pacific, and Indian Ocean Regional Group Workshop was held at the JAMSTEC office in Tokyo, Japan on 8-11 February 2010. The workshop was chaired by Yukihiro Nojiri (NIES) and Shuichi Watanabe (JAMSTEC) and attended by twenty-three participants from eight countries. The first half of the meeting consisted of the presentation and discussion of results of the JAMSTEC pCO2 buoy project and the pCO2 inter-comparison held in Hasaki, Japan in 2009. The final two days were devoted to the SOCAT regional workshop and included updates on the status of the global SOCAT database and quality control, equatorial Pacific and Indian Ocean pCO2 data status, SOCAT data at CDIAC, Live-Access Server (LAS) tools and their application to SOCAT, and neural network analysis of the Atlantic and Pacific pCO2 data sets.
