Abstract
    This research has been carried out as a part of the Netherlands Indian Ocean Program 1990–1995, Project A, Monsoons and Coastal Ecosystems in Kenya. The programme was organized and funded by the Netherlands Marine Research Foundation (SOZ) of the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NOW).
