Fenestrulina delicia was discovered in Maine (United States) in 1994. Whether this species is native to Maine is unknown. Currently, this species occurs along the coast of France to Sweden. Since 2009, F. delicia is found at the Belgian coast. Due to different distribution vectors, e.g. via shellfish transport, ships or on floating plastic, the species can continue to spread.
