Abstract
    The European Marine Board (EMB) Forum brings together European marine research stakeholders,
    representatives of the marine science community, funding agencies and national and European science institutions, to discuss research priorities and to promote marine science in Europe and globally. EMB Fora provide a platform for EMB members, partner organizations, individual scientists, and European and national policymakers to interact on a particular topic or theme of strategic importance to:
    • Provide a focal meeting point for discussion;
    • Facilitate the exchange of information and ideas and agree on a common position; and
    • Enhance collaboration, and reduce fragmentation and/or duplication in the European research effort
