Abstract
Eight species of the sponge family Chalinidae Gray (Haplosclerida, Demospongiae) are described from shallow-water habitats, primarily mangroves, of Twin Cays and Glover's Reef, Belize. Four species are new: Haliclona mucifibrosa, H. magnifica, H. twincayensis, and H. pseudomolitba. A key to the species and illustrations are provided.
