Abstract
Objectives of the project:

The collection of atmospheric aerosol samples above and in the vicinity of the North Sea and in the marine background areas.
Determination of the chemical composition of the aerosols
Investigation of the multi-component datasets to acquire informatie about the relative contribution of the different natural and antropogenic sources and of the source areas to the atmospheric concentrations of the fine and the coarse aerosol mass, the most important components of the aerosols and the heavy metals.
Research of the physical and chemical transformations of the aerosol particles during the atmospheric transport and of the dry and wet flux flux between the atmosphere and the sea surface.
